Zuhura Blake was born in Atlanta, GA and was raised in Memphis, TN. Throughout her middle school and high school years she discovered a great talent in singing. When she went off to college, she stopped singing and focused on her goal as a playwright and writer. She has written two plays and is currently working on a third, which pays homage to the prestigious opera phenomenon Ms. Leontyne Price. Zuhura will be returning to school soon to finish a Bachelor in Liberal Arts by 2012. However, music will always be a part of her. She has worked with gospel artists William Murphy, Richard Smallwood, as well as a few underground artists throughout Memphis, TN. While engaging on stage in the background, she is now developing a solo career in singing. She currently resides in Atlanta, Ga with her two beautiful children.
